We are pleased to share with you the proceedings from the 12th Annual AASHTO Day that took place this past October at the Bordeaux World Congress.
With thanks to our presenters and regional association leadership, the program was one of the strongest ever and extremely helpful in giving focus and priority to infrastructure readiness for connected and automated vehicles. We hope we have done justice to the presentations in the proceedings. We have retained copies of all the presentations from AASHTO Day and will make them available upon request.
We also benefited from collaboration with our partner HERE and the inclusion in the proceedings of World Congress highlights prepared by Martyn Briggs. The idea of including these highlights came from a debrief with the U.S. state DOT CEOs on Thursday of World Congress week. Although there is no way to summarize the results of such a major event as the World Congress in just a few pages, we found the highlights provided by HERE and Mr. Briggs stimulating and worthy of inclusion as a way to keep the Bordeaux conversation going.
