In less than a week’s time, ERTICO’s flagship 5G-MOBIX project will hold its first Cross-border Corridor demo event! On 10 May, the Greece-Turkey trial site will present their results and tested solutions to demonstrate the ‘See What I See’ functionality for trucks driving in platoon formation as well as remote vehicle inspection, predictive risk assessment and automated truck routing into customs area, across the border between Kipoi and Ipsala.
The 5G-MOBIX project trials have assessed the added value of 5G connectivity for Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) services and functionalities in cross-border conditions. Besides the Greece-Turkey trial site corridor, the project’s other cross-border site connects Spain-Portugal. 5G-MOBIX has six local trial sites in France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, China and South Korea, which bring complementary insights to the cross-border issues trialed at the corridors.
