Glasgow City Council has launched a section of its website at futurecity.glasgow.gov.uk to promote updates on the city’s £24 million Demonstrator programme.
Glasgow beat 29 other cities to win the funding in a competition organised by the UK Government’s Technology Strategy Board (TSB).
The council reports that “a small team of specialists is now working on an array of projects designed to show how technology can make life in the city smarter, safer and more sustainable.”
“Smartphone apps for cyclists, citizen science mapping and an open data portal are just some of the technologies in the pipeline.”
