Lithuania’s second fast-charging station for electric vehicles has opened at the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU). This follows the opening of the first station in the capital Vilnius at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The charging station can be used by seven vehicles simultaneously. It is a high-speed version which charges a battery up to 80 per cent in half an hour, which is typically enough capacity for some ten hours of driving. Currently there are around 50 electric cars in Lithuania, double the number from the year before.
