The Amitran project will develop a methodology to estimate well-to-wheel CO2 reductions achieved by Intelligent Transport Systems. While this a highly relevant topic given that the European Commission aims to cut CO2 emissions from transport by 60% until 2050 it is also greatly interdisciplinary. Therefore the project has set up a Forum whereby interested citizens and organisations can receive regular information and also actively contribute eventually being invited to workshops for example. We hope this way to have the different sectors of relevance to Amitran represented including representatives from different transport modes (car bus train inland shipping) and users (municipalities logistical companies consultancies etc.).
