The European Commission has published a brochure presenting the key features of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, its achievements over the past 5 years and gives a brief outlook on the challenges up to 2020.

By providing targeted EU investment across all Member States, CEF has a key role in implementing the Commission ‘s priorities related to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth including the Digital Single Market, and of Europe’s 2020 Strategy objectives in the area of energy and climate policy. In the five year period since the programme started, the European Commission has allocated EUR 26.4 billion in grants for actions in the Transport, Energy and Telecom sectors. This brochure provides a comprehensive overview of what has been achived so far under CEF.
