Continental enhances the services for the community of Continental tire dealers once again: its digital online dealer portal ContiOnlineContact now has an accompanying app which enables dealers to search, choose and order tires from their smartphone. By going down the mobile road, the Hanover-based tire manufacturer again proves its customer-centric approach when it comes to developing new services.
“In the past years, we have witnessed a significant increase in the use of mobile devices also amongst Continental tire dealers”, says Claudio Toldi, Head of eBusiness EMEA Replacement Tires at Continental. “With our new COC Mobile app, they can now conduct their business from the palm of their hands.” The app has already been launched in Sweden and Türkiye, and will be launched in the rest of Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
The aim of the COC Mobile app is to provide dealers with an additional, convenient channel for their everyday business needs and to improve their customer experience when purchasing tires from Continental. It perfectly complements the browser-based ContiOnlineContact ordering and marketing platform, which has been at the heart of many Continental tire dealers’ daily business for more than 25 years. However, the new app now also caters to a dealer generation that prefers mobile devices to fixed desktop computers. Within the app, they can search for specific tire model using the comprehensive filter function, view its availability in real time, place orders and get updates on their order’s status. The data stems from the same database ContiOnlineContact uses for its browser platform and provides important information like product images, EU label information, current prices as well any other information necessary to make an order decision.
Ever since launching the first version of ContiOnlineContact in 1996, Continental has been a trailblazer when it comes to developing digital services firmly aligned with its customers’ needs. Adding digital tire solutions specifically for the mobile world is therefore a logical continuation on the path towards Continental’s “Vision 2030”. The COC Mobile app is just one more piece in the large range of services with which the company makes the work of tire dealers, workshops and fleet managers easier. The tire manufacturer will continue to consistently develop new business models and create a complete ecosystem of smart digital solutions around tires, using its competitive advantage as one of the world’s largest suppliers of electronics, sensors and software in the mobility industry.
