When Ford challenged YouTube legend and inventor Colin Furze to unlearn mobility, he didn’t disappoint.
First he asked his legions of followers for ideas. Then, after 16,000 chipped in with suggestions, Furze disappeared inside garden shed, rolled his sleeves up, and emerged with this – a fully functional hoverbike.
“You wanted me to fly so I’ve made this,” said Furze. “It has no steering, it’s got no brakes, it’s got two accelerators and not even a seat, but can someone with no engineering qualifications and no experience of flying make something that actually leaves the ground.”
“The whole unlearn philosophy is to try new things and go in new directions and I definitely think I’m doing this.”
