€ 9.3m intelligent transport system for Burgas (Bulgaria)

Burgas is creating a € 9.3m intelligent transport system to make its public transport safer and more efficient and convenient.

The contract for implementing the system, awarded by public tender to Romania’s UTI Group, was signed in late February.  

Financed by Burgas, the European Regional Development Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the project will increase the attractiveness and comfort of the current system, provide real-time information for passengers and increase safety.
