The FABRIC project (Feasibility analysis and development of on-road charging solutions for future electric vehicles) is organising the following two workshops in the framework of the upcoming IEEE International Electric Vehicle Conference, in Florence, Italy.

1. “Wireless Charging: Related Standards and needs”, Thursday 18 December (11:00-13:30).

The goal of this workshop is to bring together leading experts from industry, policy makers, automotive manufacturers and relevant standardisation bodies to discuss the latest developments in the field of inductive charging for electric vehicles focusing on standardisation issues. The workshop aims not only to review the current status of any relevant standardisation effort but to highlight the steps needed for any related action and possibly assist in prioritizing them by reaching a consensus at the end of the workshop among participants. Attached you will find the related announcement as well as the list of confirmed speakers.

2. “Europe meets IEVC”, Friday 19 December (11:00-13:30).

This workshop’s main scope is to bring together the leaders from the industry, academia and policy makers in order to assess the state of electro-mobility in Europe, to identify trends and roadblocks and to possibly draft a roadmap towards the large scale implementation of electro-mobility. During this event different key stakeholders will have the chance to present state of the art developments in EC funded & national projects and share ideas.
