Three of ERTICO’s innovation platforms participated in the 17th edition of the Open Auto Drive Forum (OADF) held on 17 May. The event was an opportunity to have an open discussion about autonomous driving and cross-domain topics with industry experts to generate inputs for standardisation.
The three platforms, SENSORIS, ADASIS and TISA, participating in this cross-consortium working group share OADF’s commitment to developing standardised solutions for a globally applicable ecosystem of production-ready automotive standards.
The respective sessions provided updates on the platforms’ activity and the future steps for implementing the new features and specifications. Andras Csepinszky from NNG, reported on SENSORIS activities highlighting how SENSORIS’s data specifications close the loop between the vehicle’s sensors, map and connected services. TISA’s Executive Director Matthias Unbehaun, remarked that TISA is working on an upgraded version of TPEG2, and they’re looking to a large-scale emergency and public alert system. Jean-Charles Pandazis, ADASIS coordinator at ERTICO, presented the recent updates for the platform. ADASIS AIBSL partners are currently working on the development of ADASIS version 3.2, and the new architecture will introduce multiple ADAS horizon providers, meaning that multiple sources of data could be the reference for the vehicle.
The meeting had a hybrid format with the option of attending it in person in Frankfurt (Germany) or following the session online via ZOOM. On-site participants also took part in a dedicated workshop on the OADF ecosystem and map safety.
