At the recent Intertraffic event in Amsterdam, ERTICO presented the upcoming ITS European Congress hosted in Toulouse from 30 May – 1 June together with the host city, Toulouse Metropole. ERTICO CEO, Joost Vantomme and the team also invited visitors and other exhibitors to learn more about the ERTICO Partnership . A key highlight for ERTICO during the first day of the Intertraffic event was the signing of, a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Road Federation (IRF) to foster safer, more efficient and more sustainable transport and mobility for all.
During the four days at Intertraffic, the ERTICO team presented the ITS European Congress in Toulouse to visitors, Partners and prospective delegates, and many expressed great interest to join the Congress. Some were even more eager to hear more about what to expect from the conference programme, including the Technical Sessions, but also the Technical Visits which will explore emerging technologies directly in the region. Toulouse 2022 will welcome innovative exhibitors from across Europe, attracting everyone from the most established, inventive and recognisable companies and key opinion leaders in the mobility sector. To achieve a safer, efficient and sustainable mobility ecosystem, ERTICO strives to ‘connect the dots’ with, and between key stakeholders from the ITS community. The ITS Congresses represent the ultimate showcase for technological solutions and are the yearly celebration of smart mobility, underlining the importance of ITS, particularly in cities and regions where they are hosted. Just like in Amsterdam, Intertraffic, these events are important channels to raise awareness of smart mobility solutions amongst policymakers, experts and the general public. Together, we ensure we are connecting with the ITS community towards smart and sustainable mobility for all.
‘It was a great pleasure to meet the ITS community and many smart mobility leaders at Intertraffic Amsterdam. I would like to congratulate the Intertraffic and RAI team on the remarkable exhibition, and a warm thanks to my ERTICO colleagues for your strong presence and dedication to our Partnership’, says Joost Vantomme, ERTICO CEO. ‘We are delighted to invite you to the ITS European Congress in Toulouse, 30 May – 1 June 2022 to continue our discussion on smart and sustainable mobility solutions. See you there!’
In parallel to the Intertraffic exhibition halls, the Amsterdam Drone Week took place. As a global platform for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations, Mr Vantomme participated in one of the panel discussions to discuss what Urban Air Mobility can learn from the telecom and automotive sectors, but also draw lessons learned on performance-based regulations. ERTICO Director of Innovation and Deployment, Mr. Vladimir Vorotovic was also invited to moderate the panel discussions on ‘Multi-Modal Mobility Hubs and Urban Air Mobility’.
