At its fourth edition, EUCAD2020 is the annual flag-ship event for the Connected and Automated Driving industry in Europe gathering hundreds of professionals from the private and the public sectors, including automotive and telecommunications, road operators, public transport operators, cities, research centres, universities and individual researchers. This year event takes the format of a Symposium (alternating every other year with the Conference) and will take place in Helsinki, Finland, in conjunction with the Transport Research Arena conference (TRA2020) on 28-29 April.

The event will favour in-depth discussions on specific topics for Research and Innovation in Connected and Automated Driving that are complementary to the TRA Conference sessions, in a three-hour workshop format. Each workshop will look into concrete challenges for CAD development and testing in Europe and beyond. The main purpose of the event is to allow for an interactive debate between the invited panellists and the audience around key R&I questions and the way forward.

The Symposium is organised by ARCADE, the Action co-ordinated by ERTICO that is behind the connected automated driving.eu Initiative. The event is supported by the European Commission Directorate General for Research & Innovation (RTD) as well as the ERTRAC European Technology Platform. It is targeted at road transport stakeholders from all horizons, interested in exchanging views on immediate next steps and future actions required for connected and automated mobility.

Participation in the Symposium is only open to registered participants of TRA. More information and registration details will soon be available at https://connectedautomateddriving.eu.
