Earlier this year, the Congress team launched the new Webinar Series to inform and engage the ITS community on the next ITS European Congress hosted in Lisbon from 22-24 May 2023 under the theme ‘ITS: The Game Changer.’

During this webinar series, we invite participants to get an insight into some of the exciting topics that will be addressed by our invited panellists – through panel discussions, technical presentations, exhibitions, etc. You will also have the chance to interact with some of the influential innovators who will attend the Lisbon Congress and whom will share their ideas and solutions to the high-level and technical sessions and the exhibition and demonstration area. The topics of the webinar series will reflect the themes of this year’s ITS European Congress: Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM); New mobility services; Freight & Logistics; Digitalisation and the data value chain; Future traffic management.

The first webinar will take place on 26 January 2023 from 14:00 – 15:15 CET on the topic of CCAM. ERTICO experts will be joined by members of the European Commission, DG for Research and Innovation, exhibiting partner Ubiwhere, as well as ERTICO partner CTAG to discuss the role of infrastructure, standards, regulation, piloting, and services and technologies related to CCAM. ERTICO CEO, Joost VANTOMME will welcome participants to this first session of the Webinar Series, followed by Lisa Boch-Andersen, Director of Communications, Congresses & Events at ERTICO, who will present a birds-eye view of the Lisbon Congress.

Stephane Dreher, I&D Senior Manager at ERTICO – ITS Europe will introduce the topic and further moderate the discussion on CCAM. We are also pleased to announce our invited panellists: Andrea De Candido, Future Urban and Mobility Systems Policy Officer at European Commission, DG RTD – Ramping up the CCAM activities in Europe; Ricardo Vitorino, Smart Cities Research & Innovation Manager at Ubiwhere – Suiting the future of urban mobility; Francisco Sanchez Pons, Electronics, ITS & Smart Mobility Director at CTAG – Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia – Last-mile CCAM solutions for future urban mobility.
