The City of Gijón, Spain plans to approve its Mobility Plan for 2016-2024 next September.
Recent revisions to the document have targeted reducing use of private vehicles while increasing bicycle and public transport usage.
Praising the “exhaustive” work of the team drafting the plan, Gijón mayor Carmen Moriyon said that the plan will lead to a new mobility model in the city, but that “there is still a lot of work to be done.”
