The Hungarian economy ministry will provide 1.25 billion Hungarian forint (€3.9 million) to establish electric vehicle charging points around the country,
Hungary’s minister for the economy, Mihály Varga, made the announcement earlier this month.
Varga said that municipalities with a minimum of 15 000 inhabitants were eligible to apply for the non-repayable grants.
The ministry estimates that the funding will be able to pay for nearly 1 000 charging stations around the country.
