INRIX®, Inc., a leading provider of traffic information and driver services, announced Mike Gerling, former North America chief operating officer of Tele Atlas, has agreed to join the INRIX board of directors as a new, independent board member.

Mr. Gerling brings to INRIX more than 20 years of experience in the digital mapping industry and the application of location technologies. Previously, Mr. Gerling served as chief operating officer in North America for leading mapping provider Tele Atlas, which was subsequently acquired by TomTom. He also served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for digital mapping technology pioneer Geographic Data Technology, Inc. (GDT) Throughout his tenures at GDT andTele Atlas, Mr. Gerling led efforts to help leading automakers, navigation providers and governments utilize the latest digital mapping and location technologies to improve how people navigate their world. Mr. Gerling also serves on the board of directors of DeLorme and Northern Stage Company.
