The ITS World Congress has just started in Melbourne and for the whole week will host a world first demonstration of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). For the first time, multiple devices from multiple suppliers will come together to talk to live traffic signals on a major street in the heart of Melbourne, to showcase interoperability of V2V and V2X at live intersections.
The European CIP co-funded project CO-GISTICS is showing its two services Speed advice (GLOSA) and Cargo Transport Optimisation, developed by CO-GISTICS’ consortium member Geoloc Systems. Lina Konstantinopoulou, CO-GISTICS coordinator and Head of Transport and Logistics at ERTICO – ITS Europe presented the CO-GISTICS services to Luke Donnellan, Minister for Roads and Road Safety, during the first day of the Congress. The demo was made possible thanks to the joint work of CO-GISTICS partners Geoloc Systems, ATOS and ERTICO and associated partners CEREMA and Dynniq.
