The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in partnership with ERTICO is organizing the ITS Cooperative Mobility Services Event that will take place on the 25th of February 2019.

This edition of the Plugtests event will focus on testing ITS Security features in order to support industry in the C-ITS deployment in the common single European trust domain as defined by the European Commission in the Release 1 of the document “Security Policy & Governance Framework for Deployment and Operation of European Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS)”.

The MLW area of LINKS Foundation will participate with its On Board Unit (OBU) testing the interoperability of the latest ASN.1 versions of the C-ITS security framework. The Proof of Concept has been fully developed by LINKS and supports all the main feature of a modern V2x system. The OBU is currently used in the ICT4CART project for testing how the infrastructure can aid autonomous vehicles, exploiting hybrid connectivity and Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC). The main focus of ICT4CART is to bring together, adapt and improve technological advances from the telecommunication, automotive and IT industries in order to provide the ICT infrastructure to enable the transition towards road transport automation.

LINKS will mainly work on the Italian Pilot Site (A22 highway and City of Verona) and on the Italian-Austrian border. Other experimentations will be performed in Germany.

ICT4CART project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no 768953. Content reflects only the authors’ view and European Commission is not responsible for any use that may be made of the information it contains.
