Meet us at the iMobility Forum Stand (C30)
Established in 2003 by the European Commission the iMobility Forum is a joint platform open for all road stakeholders interested in ICT-based systems and services. It is the official successor to the eSafety Forum.
This year we will manage to give the maximum visibility to the iMobility Forum thanks to the 19th ITS World Congress. From 23 to 26 October 2012 the iMobility Forum stand will host its ‘Let’s Lunch’ and coffee break sessions on its stand (C30).
Whilst enjoying our morning savours & complimentary lunch visitors will have the opportunity to discuss with iMobility Forum Working Group representatives the latest achievements and challenges of European mobility.

15:30 eCall Demo smartCEM pilot FOTNET 2 project
The stand will not only act as the information centre for the iMobility forum activities but also for other project related activities. All day long demonstrations by European projects will allow you to discover the latest technological developments in ITS and project presentations will further introduce the challenges ahead.
HeERO project partners (Italian pilot site and Cinterion a Gemalto Company) will demonstrate how EU eCall works with the exhibition of a real eCall equipped car HeERO-I and HeERO-II EU eCall compliant IVS solutions and through demonstrations of regular 112 EU eCall and 112 EU eCall in the so-called dormant mode – where the device will connect to the mobile network only in case of a 112 EU eCall based on usage of a dormant MIM (MIM = automotive grade SIM).
Finally on Friday 26 October (11:00 a.m.) the 2012 iMobility Awards will be given out by Vice-President and European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes to the people/teams who have made outstanding contributions to the acceleration of the development and deployment of ITS in Europe.

All iMobility Forum activities are regularly monitored supported and disseminated by iCar Support. Coordinated by ERTICO – ITS Europe together with the participation of European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) Q-Free DEKRA YGOMI and VTT iCar Support is a three-year European Support Action funded under the Seventh Framework Programme.
Intelligent Car Support aims to support the implementation of actions and recommendations resulting from the work of the iMobility Forum and the Intelligent Car Initiative. This includes support to the iMobility Forum and its constituencies including its Working Groups and Task Forces strengthening the iMobility cooperation among stakeholders support the development of the Implementation Road Map for all iMobility systems contribute to the implementation process of the European eCall system by supporting the European eCall Implementation Platform support the i2010 initiative in particular the activities dealing with user outreach and deployment of smarter safer and cleaner vehicles in the future.
