The French city of Clermont-Ferrand last month inaugurated an upgraded transport hub that will enable travellers to connect to different modes of transport quickly and efficiently.

The new € 17m hub is made up of a train station and bus terminal and has a free bicycle service. The upgrade includes new signs, and information displays that relay real-time data on local and long-distance buses.

The space has been made more accessible for people with reduced mobility and has a new outdoor pedestrian plaza with one hectare of trees.
