OPTICITIES is a 3 year European innovation project coordinated by Grand Lyon, involving 25 partners including 6 cities, the industry, research and main European networks on mobility. It is supported by the European Commission – Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
The aim is to develop and experiment innovative urban Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solutions. OPTICITIES addresses both passenger and freight transport issues supporting a user-centred approach.
The study visit in Lyon (10 March 2016) will combine expert presentations and live demonstrations focusing on innovative ITS services such as real-time car-pooling and the OPTICITIES multi-modal travel planner.
