Opticities is organising a two day tutorial session and study visit in Madrid 27 and 28 April. The events will combine expert presentations and live demonstrations focusing on innovative ITS services.

This study visit targets primarily local authorities, mobility managers and industrial ITS stakeholders. Participation is limited to 35 persons.

The previous study visit took place on 10 March n Lyon attracting over 30 participants. Attendees had a chance for to experience several live demonstrations including a visit to the Lyon Traffic Management Centre and experiencing real-time car pooling. To read the full report click through!

OPTICITIES is a 3 year European innovation project coordinated by Grand Lyon, involving 25 partners including 6 cities, the industry, research and main European networks on mobility. It is supported by the European Commission – Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. The aim is to develop and experiment innovative urban Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solutions. OPTICITIES addresses both passenger and freight transport issues supporting a user-centred approach.
