Join other transport authorities at the Automotive Campus in Helmond, the Netherlands on 5 June for a day of training, live demonstration and exchange on Cooperative ITS services. Learn about best practices and successful C-ITS rollouts, share experience and receive feedback on real-life deployments.
This event dedicated to training and exchanges on C-ITS deployment is the perfect opportunity for public authorities to get access to practical knowledge, concrete demonstrations, and the latest innovative C-ITS trends.
As key players in the deployment of C-ITS services, public authorities need a growing ITS community where they can share their knowledge and experience with others, helping foster the uptake and market rollout of ITS and C-ITS services. The public sector therefore plays a fundamental role in making sure new services take into account the needs and requirements of all potential users for a better mobility in line with local transport policies.
The morning training session, provided by experts and city practitioners, will explore policy aspects and practical examples of deployment of C-ITS services in small and medium cities. As part of the training session, participants will be invited to develop their own project in an interactive exercise.
After the lunch break, participants will have the unique opportunity to experience an open-road, live demonstration of the C-ITS services deployed in the city of Helmond.
By joining the C-ITS City Pool Workshop in the afternoon, you will hear from other cities about C-ITS and what it can bring to your community, but also what hurdles you should expect when trying to implement it. Two matchmaking sessions will build bridges between transport authorities committed to C-ITS deployment and cities or regions interested improving mobility with C-ITS.
This C-ITS Training and City Pool Workshop is intended to raise awareness, build knowledge and encourage horizontal collaboration and knowledge-sharing in support of widespread deployment of C-ITS services across European cities and regions. Come and share knowledge, gather best practices, speak with your peers and make arrangements for follow-up contacts and collaborations.
Through real-life examples from European metropolises such as Hamburg, Copenhagen or Lisbon, participants will learn how to create the conditions for a successful C-ITS implementation and replication in complex urban areas or in small and medium cities, including community-building, cost-benefits assessments, and business development.
The participation in the workshop is free of charge but registration is required. Click here to register.
