16993528795_f55214d252_zMichael Cramer MEP, Chair of the European Parliament Transport & Tourism Committee and the IRU will host a debate examining the impact of technological disruption on the future of mobility. The event, taking place on 25 May in Brussels will address some of the key questions that innovation in the taxi and hire care with driver industry brings both from a regulatory and customer-centric angle. It will also examine the wider implications for transport and its users of mobility-as-a-service concepts that herald significant changes in the way transport services are used, ordered and paid for.

Hubert Andela, President of IRU’s Taxi Group will join Michael Cramer and Hellen van Dongen, Director of Public Transport & Rail, Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & the Environment, and representatives from the European Commission to open discussions. Other participants will be drawn from European Union Member States, industry stakeholders and decision makers as well as taxi drivers and operators.
