Vilnius joins the expanding list of capitals adding public bicycle rental to their transport mix. JCDecaux and the Vilnius City Municipality launched the Cyclehire scheme on 15 July 2013.
City bike rental schemes are an increasingly popular addition to transport networks, and Vilnius (Lithuania) has now developed its own. Cyclocity Vilnius is available for use by both locals and tourists and comprises 200 bicycles in 24 locations, maintained by the city. The system will expand in spring 2014 with a further 12 bicycle stations and 100 bicycles.
