Understanding everything about Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) progress is now a click away thanks to C-MobILE e-Learning courses.
The C-MobILE consortium has developed online training course on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) available for free on the project website. A total of three courses are offered to different target groups (general public, citizens, transport operators, road and transport authorities) providing educational resources to public and private stakeholders wishing to learn what are C-ITS services, what they are for, how to use them (thanks to a simple App working on common navigation systems), and how they can improve your driving / travelling experience for a safer and more comfortable journey, which conjugates higher efficiency with lower fuel consumption and emissions.
The first course is directed to Drivers and Vulnerable Road Users as well as Fleet Managers to provide them with a good and simple understanding of C-ITS along with concrete examples of their current use in different cities, supported by advices about road and traffic conditions, thanks to their interaction with Traffic Management information.
These courses jointly developed by the CERTH-HIT and ERTICO – ITS Europe with support from several partners highlight the 19 C-ITS services developed in the cities participating in the C-MobILE project and their impact areas, namely: efficiency, safety and emission. The three parts of this course offer information on services still been tested and, more important, those already available for wide use.
