During its General Assembly on 14-15 June in Brussels, TISA awarded ERTICO partner NNG for its solid commitment to supporting TISA’s members in various activities, including the enhancement of road safety with new TPEG-based public emergency alerts and warnings. TISA is proactively implementing traffic and travel information services and products based on existing standards, including TMC and TPEG technologies.
TISA’s commitment to further innovate its services to travellers also emerged during the General Assembly where partners had the chance to reconnect and analyse the advancement of the association while discussing updated use cases with the guest speakers. The President and Chairman of the Association Thomas Kusche-Knežević kicked off the beginning of the General Assembly and opened the floor to the award ceremony exceptionally organised for this occasion.
Chris Greentree, the CEO of NNG, received the member contribution prize on behalf of his organisation. “NNG is committed to delivering new technologies that enable the deployment of safer and more efficient mobility solutions and provide the best user experience while travelling. For NNG, as part of ERTICO and TISA, it’s wonderful to see industry stakeholders come together to work on projects that combine each member’s specific expertise. I think cooperation between key stakeholders has considerably improved, allowing them to count and rely on each other to a greater extent. Projects like the TPEG Emergency Alerts and Warnings, clearly show how industry cooperation can help speed the development of critical safety solutions for future mobility” remarked Andras Csepinszky, Director of Advanced Automotive Technology at NNG, Chairman of the Content and Services Provisioning Committee at TISA.
The two-day Assembly also included a workshop about the TPEG over C-ITS task force and the presentations of two keynote speakers – from Siemens Digital Industry Software and ERTICO’s Innovation and Deployment Director Vlad Vorotovic’s intervention about how to further the collaboration with TISA to deliver a sustainable and smart mobility strategy.
