Technolution is engaged in deploying ITS in the Danish capital. The main objective will be to stimulate cycling and public transport as modes of transport, so as to make a significant contribution to Copenhagen’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2025.
Dynamic flow
The city of Copenhagen is going to use an advanced sensor network to measure more extensively. The data collected will make it possible to provide better information to road users, so that they can arrive at their destinations more quickly. In addition, it will be possible to harmonize traffic lights with each other, contributing to better flow and thus also to a cleaner city and reduced carbon emissions.
Traffic management via MobiMaestro
Technolution will be using its traffic management platform MobiMaestro as the basis for its solution, and will be installing this in the new traffic control center. In cooperation with the city of Copenhagen, modules will be added to this platform, thus creating a customized solution that will make a tangible difference for the citizens of Copenhagen.
Five themes
Copenhagen has set its thematic goals. Technolution will be contributing to: improved traffic flow and increased green transport, improved road safety through intelligent street lighting, big data traffic management, accessible information and services, and, finally, dynamic urban space.
Together with Danish partners
Technolution will be working closely with its Danish partners on this project: Hermes Traffic Intelligence, Jesper K Thomsen, COWI, V!gør, InfraTeam and ITS Teknik. In this way innovative power joins forces with local knowledge.
