The city of Växjö, in Sweden, has received 22.8 million Swedish krona (€2.4 million) from the Swedish Transport Administration to promote public transport in the municipality.
Until December 2018, Växjö will use the money – which together with its own funds totals an investment of 45.55 million krona (€4.82 million) – to implement a number of improvements.
This includes new bus lanes and refurbishing and improving bus stops, giving buses priority at traffic signals and installing displays with bus and traffic information.
