Integrated electronic ticketing across all forms of public transport will be one of the aims of the project.
The European Commission has approved an investment of almost €30 million from the European Regional Development Fund which will be used to modernise public transportation in the Athens (Greece) metropolitan area through the introduction of electronic ticketing. Additionally, it will ensure the integration of travel by bus, metro, tram, and urban and suburban trains.
