Stakeholder Workshop – SW6 Standardisation and certification for automated vehicles

Find out how standardisation towards automation is currently driven and what are the expected needs in the short and long term. The session will also discuss certification procedures for European Member states who currently allow driverless vehicles on public roads.
SIS41 – Vehicular connectivity and challenges in the era of automation

Join if you are interested in the latest developments of connected automation and the challenges awaiting to be tackled. The session will also discuss the ongoing standardization activities in the field of connected automation, and the needed extensions to accommodate for the needs of automated vehicles.
SIS36 – Digital Infrastructure for Automated Vehicles

Digital Infrastructure indicates the static and dynamic digital representation of the physical world with which the automated vehicle will interact to operate. Find out about the framework of creating a digital infrastructure between public authorities and map providers including governance, role and responsibilities, and roadmap towards a digital infrastructure and regulations.
Stakeholder Workshop – SW3 Towards a methodology for Field Operational Tests (FOTs) for automated vehicles

Companies and research organizations are developing large-scale Field Operational Tests (FOTs) and pilots for automated vehicles in order to assess behaviour of the users. This SiS will debate aspects related to the new challenges of a common methodology to be applied to automation pilots.
Technical session – Current activities in Vehicle and Road Automation: a European and international overview
Date & Time: Thursday 9 June 2016, 09.00-10.30
This paper aims to offer an overview of the main current initiatives focusing on European (both national and EU wide) and international activities. Some of the current European projects will be illustrated comparing the different objectives and current results. Planned activities will be described, considering the expected outcome of H2020 research program calls. Key information about current and planned initiatives in USA and Japan will be discussed. The overview will be completed by a well-reasoned comparison of the illustrated initiatives.
