Dear Mister/Madam Chair, dear colleagues and friends,
With the European Parliament legislature coming to an end, and before some of you go back to their constituency to campaign for the European elections and others follow another path, it is a real pleasure for me to be with you once more. When I started my mandate as Transport Commissioner, I took a clear commitment: to maintain a constant dialogue with your committee so that we join forces and move forward the EU transport agenda together. Today it will be my 7th hearing before your committee in this particular format. And I reported back to you after each and every Transport Council and several informal councils – 3 or 4 times per year.
