The Croatian Ministry for Environment is co-financing the purchase of 20 shared electric bicycles in the Croatian city of Čakovec.
The ministry is contributing one million Croatian kuna (€ 131 000) for the project. More than 31 mn kuna (€ 4.1 mn) has been offered in co-funding for private individuals, companies, and public authorities to purchase electric vehicles in 2015 so far.
‘I am extremely proud that Čakovec is one of the first Croatian cities where citizens will have the opportunity to ride an electric bicycle,’ said Čakovec mayor Stjepan Kovač.
