The eCall Days, organised by ITS automotive nord, will take place in Hamburg 22 and 23 September 2016.
Political representatives of the European Commission, I_HeERO participants as well as other important stakeholders will present their agenda on the current status of the eCall implementation in Europe and other parts of the world. Furthermore the conference will focus on key topics such as conformity assessment and eCall for P2W (currently addressed by the I_HeERO project) as well as other future challenges.
The conference will be opened by representatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Germany, and of the Ministry for the Economy, Labour and Transport of Lower Saxony. EU’s Claire Depré will address the last steps before full eCall implementation.
Since the I_HeERO project is at the heart of addressing the current barriers with regard to full European eCall implementation, many of the eCall Days’ keynote speakers are I_HeERO consortium partners.
On 22 September 2016, Andy Rooke, ERTICO – ITS Europe, and I_HeERO Technical Implementation Officer, will give an I_HeERO overview and current status. “eCall preparation of German PSAPs – progress and challenges” will be addressed by Steve Schneider of ITS automotive nord. Matthias Moerbe of Robert Bosch will present the status of eCall for Powered Two-Wheeler after 2/3 of the I_HeERO project. Challenges of P2W eCall from OEM perspective will be dealt with by Arnd Dippel of BMW Motorrad, Hennes Fischer of Yamaha Motor Europe, and Karl-Maria Grugle of KTM Sportmotorcycle. Luca Bergonzi of Beta 80 Group will discuss Pan-European eCall and TPS eCall data exchange: State of the art and evolution propositions.
Friday 23 September 2016 presentations will include “Activities in the Czech Republic for eCall 112 full operational service.Technically we are ready” by Martin Pichl of the Ministry of Transport, Czech Republic and Col. Jan Urbanek, Ministry of Interior, Fire Rescue Services of the Czech Republic. Harold Linke, HITEC Luxembourg will present a key topic within the I_HeERO project “Next generation 112 eCall – use cases and requirements”.
