FLOW project is looking for more cities in Europe and neighbouring countries that want to learn how to improve their mobility planning and traffic modelling practices for implementing walking and cycling measures to reduce urban road congestion.

The project is currently accepting applications from local or regional public authorities responsible for urban transport issues (i.e. municipalities, regions, public transport authority or public agencies) and will choose nine Exchange Cities and 25-30 Follower Cities to actively participate in FLOW’s learning and exchange activities, including in-person workshops and interactive online learning.

Exchange Cities will receive tailored in-person and online trainings and support from leading cycling, walking and traffic modelling experts, with the aim of developing a roadmap for using walking and cycling measures to reduce urban congestion.

The call for Exchange Cities requires a higher level of commitment and participation and offers a modest budget for local activities as well as reimbursement for travel to project events. Follower Cities will participate in in-person and online learning and knowledge exchange on multi-modal modelling of walking and cycling in urban areas, with opportunities for networking on these topics.

The call for Follower Cities requires a moderate level of participation and offers reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs for workshop participation.
