Amitran shares knowledge on methodologies to assess the impact of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) measures on transport at 2nd ICT-Emissions workshop
The second meeting of the ICT-Emissions exploitation group took place on 7 March 2013 in Brussels. This EU project is running parallel to Amitran and aims to establish the missing link between traffic and emissions modelling at micro and macro scales.
Representatives from Amitran and its sister EU project ECOSTAND were invited to attend the workshop and the Amitran assessment methodology for determining the impacts of ICT (or ITS) on CO2 emissions in the transport sector was presented.
The meeting was attended by 24 delegates, representing public authorities, the automotive industry and OEMs, transport modelling software developers, and scientific and research organisations. Amitran was represented by partners TNO, PTV, Tecnalia and ERTICO.
Presentations from the meeting are available here.
