The NeMo project is launching a virtual Hackathon for Electromobility services and applications. Application developers, service providers, students, teams and individuals are invited to send a description of their idea by 3 April. The winner will be invited to present their idea at the start-up area of the ITS European Congress 2019.

Are you…

  • a startup?
  • an application developer?
  • an Electromobility Service and/or application provider?
  • an entrepreneur or a student (MS, PhD candidates)?
  • interested in making a real impact on the Electromobility sector ?

Do you have a good idea for an Electromobility service or think of creating a novel smart service that could change the way we deal with issues related to electric vehicle charging and use?

You now have the chance to share your already developed Electromobility Services or fire up your creativity for innovative applications through the NeMo Hackathon that runs virtually until May 2019.

Bring your ideas to the table and join the NeMo Virtual Hackathon today!

The NeMo project creates a Hyper-Network of new and existing tools, models and services, providing seamless interoperability of electromobility services and creating an open, distributed and widely accepted ecosystem for electromobility.

The NeMo Hyper-Network for electroMobility is an EU-funded project that brings together 19 partners from eight European countries to build a Hyper-network of tools, models and services to provide seamless interoperability of Electromobility services among all relevant actors. This network will focus on Energy management, Security & Availability, and Reducing barriers to pan-European electric vehicle roaming.

This Hackathon will evaluate the effectiveness of the Hyper-Network’s open tools for service creation, with the development of innovative electromobility services, such as B2C or B2B web or mobile applications. These services can be built from the ground up or combining existing services offered on the NeMo Hyper-Network.

Interested parties are invited to declare their interest to join the NeMo Hackathon by sending a short description of their idea (approx. 1000 words) and an architecture diagram (pictures/graphs/videos, etc.) to hackathon@nemo-emobility.eu by 3 April 2019. Developed services or applications can then be submitted by 27 May.

The three Hackathon finalists will gain international recognition by presenting their applications at the startup area of the 13th ITS European Congress in Brainport Eindhoven, on 3-6 June 2019.

The winning submission will be announced on 17 June, and the laureate(s) will get an opportunity to exhibit their application during the exhibition of the NeMo Final Event in Barcelona on 18 September.

The winner will also receive a 2-year free membership to the NeMo Business Alliance for Electromobility.
