As part of the activities linked to the tenth anniversary of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme, CINEA launched a new interactive web-page to showcase the contribution of the CEF for Transport Programme to greening and decarbonising the transport sector. The “Greener Transport Infrastructure for Europe” web page is one of the 2024 actions under the #10YearsofCEF banner. The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is a key EU funding instrument in delivering the European Green Deal and an important enabler towards the Union’s decarbonisation objectives for 2030 and 2050.
The new web page, officially announced at the 2024 Connecting Europe Days, features a mix of text as well as pictures, data and, most importantly, interactive maps where users can zoom and identify CEF projects throughout the European Union.
Focus areas are railway transport and ERTMS, inland waterways, ports and alternative fuels with the overall objective of demonstrating how EU investments throughout the years are having a positive impact on the continent’s transport networks, yielding concrete benefits for businesses and citizens alike.
