An online platform that supports cities in south-east Europe to develop Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) has been launched.
The Southeast European Competence Centre on SUMP is a response to the urgent need to establish a platform for knowledge and expertise on SUMPs in the region.
The Centre is hosted in Koprivnica (Croatia), one of the first cities in the region to develop a SUMP.
So far, south-east European cities have gained knowledge on SUMPs mainly through co-operation within European projects and via city networks.
The Centre, which offers information in Croatian and other regional languages, will gather existing knowledge on SUMPs from the region and facilitate the exchange of practical experiences between cities in the region.
