The access to three central districts could be closed except for residents.
A challenging plan to cut traffic in Paris city centre has been announced by the Mayor’s office. It involves a project in three phases, which will envisage the following measures:
– Phase one: the aim is to reduce the speed limit to 30 km/h in four central districts (arrondissements 1 to 4), to build a cycle line along the Seine, to reduce the traffic around Louvre and to narrow down large roads in the historic centre of Paris.
