London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced last month that heavily polluting vehicles will have to pay a daily charge to drive within central London from 8 April 2019.
The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will cover the same area as the zone for the existing congestion charge. It is proposed that the ULEZ replace the £10 Toxicity Charge, which has been confirmed as starting in October this year.
