Submissions for Papers and Posters and the Student Paper Awards of the 4th International Symposium on Freeway and Tollway Operations (ISFO) are now open. This important event taking place from 26 to 30 June in Vienna and co-organised with the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and AustriaTech is actively supported by ERTICO’s Innovation Platform TM 2.0.

The Symposium will bring together the US and European traffic management communities around the theme “Innovation advances towards the Future of Managing Traffic” to discuss the future of traffic management with more than 400 experts.

You can now get involved in the Symposium by taking part in an exciting competition to win the Student Paper Awards sponsored by TM 2.0. Transportation students and their collaborators can submit a paper to have a chance to win up to €3,300 per student in paid travel expenses to attend the ISFO Symposium in Vienna for the top three finalists. The first, second and third ranked papers will also receive award certificates along with a prize of €1,000, €750 and €500, respectively. The papers will be assessed by the Student Paper Awards Committee, which comprises Panos D. Prevedouros (University of Hawaii/TRB), Martin Russ (AustriaTech/TM 2.0), Jop Spoelstra (Technolution/TM 2.0), Johanna Tzanidaki (ERTICO/TM 2.0/TRB), Haizhong Wang (Oregon State University/TRB), Yinhai Wang (University of Washington/TRB).
