On 15 September, TISA President Thomas Kusche gave a presentation at the IBC (International Broadcasting Convention), this year hosted in Amsterdam. The presentation was given during the session titled “A secure future for in-car digital broadcast radio – How to keep your content prominent and relevant in the digital dashboard”.
It focused on the advantages of TPEG, such as increased traffic safety, reliable coverage, and low delivery costs. Thomas Kusche presented the current situation in Germany where TPEG is widely available as an example for future use of TPEG in Digital Radio. Digital Radio offers the most reliable and cheapest distribution channel, and the opportunity of implementing DAB audio is exciting for the (after) market.
