Ficosa premises in Portugal and Turkey have been recognized by Toyota for their quality and value analysis, respectively
Faw-Toyota has distinguished Ficosa China for its products quality
Ficosa, a top-tier global provider dedicated to research, development, production and sales of safety, communication and efficiency systems for the automotive industry, has been recognized by Toyota with three prestigious awards. Ficosa production centers in Portugal and Turkey have been awarded by Toyota Motor Europe in the categories of Quality and Value Analysis, respectively; while Ficosa China has been distinguished with the prize for Quality granted by Faw-Toyota.
Javier Pujol, CEO of Ficosa, explains: “We are very proud of the honors granted by a great company like Toyota which reflect Ficosa’s strong commitment to clients. In this regard, we spent 44 million euros in R&D in 2014 to provide our clients with the most innovative solutions that anticipate the challenges of a constantly changing industry”.
Toyota Motor Europe Awards were held in the framework of the Annual Supplier Business Meeting 2015, where the Japanese automotive company recognized suppliers that have demonstrated exceptional performance in the areas of quality, value analysis, project management, supply and cost during 2014. Toyota Motor Europe awarded the Ficosa production center in Porto (Portugal) by the excellence of the supplied solutions, as well as the multinational plants in Gemlik and Bursa (Turkey) for their ability to optimize the function-cost ratio. The ceremony, held in Brussels, was chaired by Didier Leroy, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe.
“These awards recognize our team’s well-done job, know-how and ability to innovate, develop and manufacture high value-added products that meet the highest standards of quality”, says Karim el Hamel, General Manager of Ficosa Turkey.
Ficosa has been awarded on multiple occasions by Toyota Motor Europe, a fact that highlights the policy of quality, excellence, service, flexibility and continuous improvement that the multinational keeps with all customers.
Regarding the award granted by FAW-Toyota to Ficosa China, David Fernández, Business Group Director of Ficosa China, emphasizes that “it represents a great satisfaction for the whole team, as it is the second award –after the prize awarded by GAC-Toyota in 2013– that Ficosa China receives for the excellent quality of its products”. The multinational has three plants in China located in Taicang, Chongqing and Shenyang.
Since 1998, Ficosa develops and produces at its facilities in Spain, Portugal, Turkey, China, Brazil, United States and Mexico several solutions for Toyota, as gearshift systems, brake levers, mechanical cables, rearview mirrors and windshield washer systems.
