The Polish capital has taken a major step forward in creating a more efficient and inclusive public transport system.
Warsaw (Poland) has completed taking delivery of 186 new trams, which will replace some 40 percent of its fleet. Some of the vehicles being replaced have been in operation for some 50 years. A contract was signed in 2009 with the tram manufacturer Pesa worth almost 1.5 billion zlotys (€350 million).
