The Head of the United Nation’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, Cristiana Figueres, has called on the global transport sector to work together and join the different climate action plans around the world.
In a statement to delegates at an annual summit of transport ministers in Leipzig (Germany), Figueres urged to ‘unite the transport sector worldwide in the push towards climate neutrality’ and ‘connect the patchwork of policies we can expect from at least 189 different national climate action plans designed for different national circumstances’.
