Local organisations across Europe are being encouraged to organise Energy Days throughout June as part of European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW).
Energy Days are events that aim to raise awareness of energy efficiency and renewable methods of generating energy. They take place throughout the month of June, and can be of any duration – from a few hours to an entire week.
The connection to sustainable urban mobility and clean, efficient energy use is clear. The use of electricity and alternative fuels such as hydrogen and biogas is increasing across Europe in public and private transport rapidly. Additionally, active modes of mobility like walking and cycling can help to reduce energy consumption and waste.
