During the 34th General Assembly on Tuesday 11th June, ERTICO presented the new digital version of its Annual Review, showcasing significant strides and advancements across all its activities reached during the period June 2023 to May 2024. Under the leadership of CEO Joost Vantomme, ‘Connecting the Dots’ remains a central theme as we strengthen the ERTICO Partnership, building new alliances across sectors and continents, and notably, continuing to drive forward a world of innovation.
This year, Joost presents his welcoming remarks of another remarkable year, “In the third year of my tenure as CEO, I am proud to present ERTICO’s Annual Review 2023-2024. A testament to our collective vision of driving innovation and positive change for future mobility, this period has marked notable achievements across all our activities, reflecting a year of continued commitment aligned with our values: Cooperative, Impactful, Open, Passionate and Visionary.” He continues “I am also taking this opportunity to extend a big thank you to our Chairman, Dr Angelos Amditis, who we all congratulate for his renomination for the new term, the Supervisory Board, the Strategy Committee, all our Partners and of course, the ERTICO team for the great collaboration and work done the last year.”
The Annual Review presents many achievements reached in the last 12 months, from June 2023 to May 2024, including an overview of the four focus areas: Connected Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM), Clean & Eco-Mobility, Urban Mobility, and Transport & Logistics. It also entails details of the active EU-funded projects during this time frame, as well as innovation platforms and mobility data spaces. These activities are results from the active engagement and contribution of our Partners and international cooperation. Last year, ERTICO presented the European perspective of innovation in ITS and Smart Mobility during the 29th ITS World Congress in Suzhou, China. This year, together with the host city of Dubai and support from the regional organisations, ITS America and ITS Asia-Pacific, ERTICO is organising the 30th ITS World Congress, 16-20 September.
Moving towards the second half of 2024, ERTICO continue to keep pace with the evolving mobility landscape and remain dedicated to aligning its activities with EU legislation and global mobility trends, focusing on the newly revised focus areas: CCAM, Green & Urban Mobility, and Transport for Logistics.
