The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research is funding research into ways to reduce the costs of electric vehicles.
Federal Minister for Research Johanna Wanka said: ‘We must reach an affordable price threshold for electric vehicles.
‘Producing electric vehicles must become more cost-effective – this is the aim of our research. We approach this through innovation, not through subsidies with taxpayer money.’
